Keystone Music Story

 

Stevan Popovich started Keystone Music Company out of my passion for product design, my love of playing the guitar and a little necessity. 

A few years ago I found myself sitting at home searching for something the market did not offer. When looking to display a guitar in my office, I could not find a premium guitar hanger that not only solved the function, but when not in use remained an unobtrusive fixture in our home. No visible mounting points, premium materials and a design that would make people wonder what was the function when not in use. 

While there are plenty of options on the market, and some I have had and used in the past, the designs felt stagnant and the least bit contemporary. Having spent nearly 25 years working in specialty retail, brand and product development, and of course being a passionate guitar player, I decided to build it. After 18 months of prototypes, testing on my collection of guitars, and redesigns, we launched the Blackburn Guitar Wall Hanger. 

What I love about design, is how something can be reimagined in such a simple manner, yet completely change the aesthetic and be reinvented. And while my excitement with the design may not be right for you, or the 18 year old misunderstood youth version of me below, I hope it resounds with some and is a product you've been searching for. 

Not every product is for everybody, but I can promise you, for those that do like this, just wait to see what's next.
